Fire Investigation 2A (CA): Criminal and Legal Procedures

This course provides information on conducting an explosive investigation and a surveillance operation, preparing a search warrant, testifying as an expert witness, assembling a curriculum vitae (CV), and properly documenting a criminally caused fire. Actual fire scene(s) will be visited, where students will properly identify, photograph, and collect evidence. An origin and cause investigation will also be conducted, and students will prepare a report documenting their findings. [Prerequisites: Fire Investigation 1A and 1B (old curriculum); Length: 5 days]
